- What changed / version notes
1. Purpose and scope
These rules apply to game interaction, accounts, support channels, community or feedback features operated by Eidolon Gaming, AI-mediated interaction, Store/account abuse, and attempts to interfere with the service. They supplement the Terms of Service.
Echoes of Eidolon may portray conflict, deception, prejudice, violence, political disagreement, religion, history, culture, or other difficult themes as part of fiction. A player is not required to agree with a fictional character, institution, story position, or generated statement. This policy regulates conduct toward real people and the service; it is not a requirement to endorse fictional viewpoints.
2. Respectful participation
Treat other participants, staff, contractors, and support personnel with basic respect. Disagreement, criticism, competitive play, and forceful discussion are allowed. Conduct becomes unacceptable when it turns into targeted harassment, intimidation, stalking, credible threats, repeated unwanted contact, or deliberate disruption intended to drive another person away from participation.
3. Harassment, threats, and abuse
Do not threaten violence, encourage real-world harm, dox or expose private information, coordinate harassment, or repeatedly target a person with degrading abuse. Context matters, including whether language is directed at a real person, part of consensual fictional roleplay, or a quotation used for legitimate discussion.
Eidolon Gaming may act quickly when a threat appears credible or when delayed action would create a meaningful safety risk.
4. Hate and dehumanizing abuse
Do not use the service to direct hateful, dehumanizing, or exclusionary abuse at real people or groups based on protected or vulnerable characteristics. Historical or fictional material may depict discriminatory beliefs or language where relevant to the story or research context, but that does not authorize using the service as a vehicle for real-world targeted abuse.
5. Sexual exploitation and abuse
Do not use the service to facilitate sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual abuse, sexual blackmail, trafficking, or sexual content involving minors. Attempts to sexualize or exploit a real minor, request exploitative material, or use AI-mediated interaction to facilitate such abuse are prohibited. Fictional content remains subject to applicable law, safety controls, age gating, and product rules.
6. Fraud, scams, and deceptive transactions
Do not use accounts, subscriptions, support contributions, Store orders, refunds, chargebacks, or support channels to defraud Eidolon Gaming, providers, or other people. Prohibited conduct includes knowingly submitting false payment claims, manipulating refund evidence, phishing for credentials, impersonating payment or support staff, or using compromised financial instruments.
7. Impersonation and identity misuse
Do not impersonate Eidolon Gaming staff, another participant, a real public authority, a payment provider, or another person in a way likely to deceive someone about identity, authority, account ownership, or transaction status. Clearly fictional roleplay and parody are not prohibited merely because a character resembles a real person, provided the context does not create harmful deception.
8. Cheating, exploits, and progression abuse
Do not deliberately exploit bugs, race conditions, unauthorized clients, data tampering, duplicated transactions, entitlement errors, or other defects to gain an unfair gameplay or account advantage. If you discover an exploit, stop using it beyond what is reasonably necessary to understand and report the issue.
Testing a suspected defect in good faith is different from repeatedly exploiting it for progression, access, inventory, Member entitlement, Store benefit, or disruption. Security-sensitive issues should be reported using the Security report category at /contact.
9. Account compromise and credential abuse
Do not access an account without authorization, attempt credential stuffing, share stolen tokens, bypass authentication, or solicit passwords, recovery codes, session secrets, or other credentials. If your own account may be compromised, use /account/support. Do not post credentials or active access tokens into AI interactions, support messages, or public channels.
10. Malicious automation and service interference
Do not use bots, scripts, automated agents, scraping, request floods, or other automation to overload the service, evade rate limits, manipulate availability, mass-create accounts, abuse invitations, automate prohibited gameplay, or interfere with other users. Automation expressly provided or authorized by Eidolon Gaming is allowed within its documented limits.
11. Security abuse
Do not probe, scan, exploit, reverse security controls, or attempt to obtain unauthorized access to systems, credentials, secrets, private endpoints, or other users' data. Good-faith security research should avoid unnecessary access, persistence, data extraction, service disruption, or public disclosure that increases risk. Use /contact and select Security report for responsible reporting.
12. Illegal content and activity
Do not use Echoes of Eidolon to plan, facilitate, solicit, or conceal unlawful activity, or to distribute content whose possession or distribution is unlawful in the applicable jurisdiction. Eidolon Gaming may preserve and disclose records where lawfully required, while continuing to apply the Privacy Policy and data-minimization principles.
13. AI-mediated NPC and system abuse
AI-mediated characters are part of the game, but the underlying systems are not an invitation to attack the service. Do not use prompts or interaction strategies to obtain credentials, security keys, private personal data, hidden system prompts, unreleased protected content, secret operational instructions, or other information you are not authorized to access.
Trying unusual dialogue, testing character consistency, solving puzzles, challenging NPC claims, or exploring fictional boundaries is allowed when it does not become a security or access-control attack. The game may contain intentionally hidden story information; attempts to bypass technical controls to extract protected secrets are different from discovering information through intended play.
14. Minors and guardians
A participant age 14–17 must have valid guardian permission. Guardians should understand that Echoes of Eidolon can contain difficult fictional themes and AI-generated dialogue that may be unpredictable. The guardian-permission rule does not require constant monitoring, but guardians and minor participants should use available safety and support tools and should report concerning behavior or output when appropriate.
15. Reporting concerns
Account/gameplay conduct concerns should ordinarily be reported through /account/support. Security vulnerabilities should use /contact → Security report. Company-level legal notices should use /contact → Legal notice. Historical or cultural sourcing concerns should use the dedicated cultural/research contact classification.
Do not submit unnecessary passwords, payment-card data, access tokens, recovery codes, government IDs, or unrelated sensitive information with a report.
16. Moderation and enforcement
Eidolon Gaming may investigate credible reports and take proportionate action, including warnings, feature restrictions, transaction review, temporary suspension, invitation or beta removal, or account termination. The response depends on severity, repetition, intent, harm, security risk, legal requirements, and available evidence.
Immediate restriction may be appropriate for active compromise, fraud, credible threats, exploitation, or serious safety risk. For less urgent violations, notice or an opportunity to correct conduct may be appropriate. Enforcement does not remove approved refunds, mandatory consumer/privacy rights, or records that must remain for legal, security, or audit purposes.
17. Review and appeal
Where a review or appeal process is available for a moderation decision, the notice or support response should explain how to request it. A review may consider new evidence, mistaken identity, compromised accounts, context, proportionality, or whether the rule was applied correctly. An appeal is not a guarantee that a decision will change.
18. Contact and help routes
Player/account/gameplay support and conduct reports: /account/support. Signed-out users seeking Player Support should sign in and return there.
Company-level security reports or legal notices: /contact. Player support messages should be sent from the Support tab, not this webform.
