Plain-language summary
This policy explains how cookies and similar browser storage may be used for authentication, security, preferences, payment flows, and—only if actually enabled—optional analytics. Essential authentication and security storage can operate differently from optional measurement technologies because the service may not function safely without them.

1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy applies to cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies used by Echoes of Eidolon and related Eidolon Gaming account, support, membership, donation, and Store pages. It should be read with the Privacy Policy, which explains the broader processing of personal data.
2. Essential authentication and session storage
We may use cookies or similar storage that are necessary to sign users in, keep a session active, route authenticated requests, remember security state, protect against request forgery, prevent session confusion, and support account logout. Because these technologies are required for the requested authenticated service or security, they may operate even when a user declines optional analytics where applicable law permits.
3. Security technologies
Security cookies or local state may be used to detect suspicious authentication, prevent abuse, enforce rate or request protections, maintain anti-forgery tokens, or support fraud-prevention workflows. Security technologies are not used merely to re-label advertising or optional analytics as essential.
4. Preferences and local storage
The site may store interface preferences, accessibility choices, consent state, or other local settings so the service can remember how you chose to use it. Where a preference is not strictly necessary, applicable consent or browser controls will be respected as required by law.
5. Analytics
Optional analytics may be used only if they are actually enabled in the live product and configured consistently with applicable consent requirements. Current live analytics configuration: [ANALYTICS CONFIGURATION — IF ENABLED].
If optional analytics are enabled, the consent interface and this policy should identify their purpose and provide the controls required by applicable law. This version does not describe or authorize an advertising-cookie, behavioral-advertising, or cross-site ad-targeting program that has not been separately configured and disclosed.
6. Stripe and payment-related storage
Stripe is the payment provider for Store purchases, subscriptions, support contributions, receipts, saved payment methods where enabled, and refunds. When a user enters a Stripe-hosted or Stripe-enabled payment flow, Stripe may use its own cookies, device information, or similar technologies for payment processing, fraud prevention, authentication, and security under Stripe's applicable terms and notices. Eidolon Gaming does not use Printful as the customer payment processor.
7. Consent and choices
Where applicable law requires consent for a non-essential cookie or similar technology, we will request that consent before activating the relevant optional category. Declining an optional category should not prevent essential authentication/security storage from operating where it is necessary to provide or protect a requested service.
A consent preference can itself require a small amount of storage so the site remembers the choice. Users can revisit available cookie choices through [COOKIE PREFERENCE CONTROL LOCATION].
8. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential cookies can prevent login, checkout continuity, preference storage, or other requested features from working correctly. Browser documentation describes how to manage those controls. Device-level privacy settings may also affect local storage or tracking protections.
9. Retention
Cookie and local-storage retention varies by purpose. Session technologies may expire when the session ends or after an appropriate security period. Preference storage can remain longer so a choice is remembered. Optional analytics retention, if analytics are enabled, must match the configured provider and published consent information. Provider-controlled payment technologies follow the provider's applicable configuration and policies.
10. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers, consent requirements, or site functions change. Material changes will be communicated where required. A new optional analytics or advertising technology should not be silently treated as already covered by a generic essential-cookie description.
11. Contact
Questions about cookies or privacy: use /contact and select Privacy and data-rights inquiry. Player support messages should be sent from the Support tab, not this webform. Player/account/gameplay support is at /account/support.
12. Related documents
See the Privacy Policy for data categories, purposes, provider disclosures, retention, and rights; the Terms of Service for general service rules; and the Store, Membership, and Donations policies for Stripe-powered transactions.
13. What changed / version notes
Version 0.2.0 creates the owner-approved cookie/storage baseline, separates essential authentication/security storage from optional analytics, confirms Stripe's payment role, and deliberately leaves unverified analytics and preference-control implementation details as narrow deployment placeholders.
